Latest figures show that more than nine out of 10 trains ran without delay

Responding to the latest rail performance data covering the 03 March to 31 March 2013, a spokesperson for the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC) said:

“These figures show that, on average, more than nine out of ten trains are arriving without delay.

"Train companies know how important it is for passengers that trains arrive on time and will further improve services by working closely with the rest of the industry.”

Punctuality on the railways reached 91.4% during Period 13, according to monthly performance data released today by Network Rail.

The data for Britain's train services covers the period from 03 March 2013 - 31 March 2013. This compares to 93.4% for the same period last year. The moving annual average is now at 90.9%.
