Our miniature railway is taking centre stage with a variety of miniature locomotives in operation, including steam and electric engines. We offer 'Driver for a Fiver' on our locomotive and mini-rail.

The complex of original Victorian buildings has a unique story to tell of railways and people's lives in East Anglia from the 1840s through to the 21st Century.

The Museum has the most comprehensive collection of railway architecture, locomotives and first-hand accounts of people who worked on the railways. The impressive site includes original and restored station buildings, carriages, signal boxes, a goods shed and a fully functioning restoration shed.

We are an accredited museum and part of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
