FHA analysis reveals trucks' emissions far higher than locomotives
A 2005 analysis of U.S. freight greenhouse-gas emissions pointed out that freight railroads accounted for only 8.7% of all greenhouse-gas emissions caused by freight transport, according to the Federal Highway Administration.
